Privacy Policy

BrochureBoss (“we,” “us”) runs brochureboss.com and the BrochureBoss app at brochureboss.com/app/. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

Account information. When you create an account, we keep your email address and the sign-in details needed to let you back in.

Your projects. Projects you save to your library are stored on our servers so you can open them when you sign in. That includes what you put in them, such as text and pictures.

Files you import. When you import a Microsoft Publisher (.pub) file, it’s sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our server so it can be converted. The original .pub file is deleted as soon as the conversion finishes, usually within seconds. We don’t keep it. Pictures found inside the file are saved on our server so the editor can show them. Each one gets a long random web address that isn’t listed or linked anywhere. Pictures used by a project or block you’ve saved are kept for as long as your account keeps it. Pictures from imports you never save are kept for now. If we ever start clearing old unsaved ones, this page will say so first. The converted document itself is stored only if you save it to your library. To have your saved projects and imported pictures deleted, email info@brochureboss.com.

Email. If you email us, we keep what you send. If you join the email list, we keep your email address, the name you gave (if any), which page you signed up from, when you signed up and confirmed, and a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address. The list lives in our own database, not with a mailing service. We send a confirmation email first and only add you once you click it. Every list email has an unsubscribe link, and we never sell or share the list.

Server logs. Standard web server logs may record IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We use these for security and basic operations, not for advertising profiles.

Files you download. .bboss files and PDFs you download are saved on your own device. We don’t see the copies you keep there.

How we use information

We use it to run the app and your library, reply to you, and send updates you asked for. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers.

Your documents

You own what you make. We don’t claim any rights to your documents beyond storing them so the app works. To have your account and saved projects deleted, email info@brochureboss.com from the address on the account.

The BrochureBot chat

BrochureBot is the AI assistant in the corner of the marketing pages. When you type a message, it’s sent to our server and from there to Anthropic’s Claude API, which writes the reply. Anthropic processes the message to answer it; under its commercial terms it doesn’t use API messages to train its models. We keep the conversation on our server for up to 45 days so the team can follow up and improve the answers, along with the page you were on and a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, not the address itself. Daily and weekly summaries of chats are emailed to us. If you ask BrochureBot to pass a message to a person, what you wrote and any name, email or phone number you give are emailed to us so we can reply. Please don’t type passwords, card numbers or other sensitive details into the chat. To have a conversation deleted sooner, email info@brochureboss.com.

Cookies and tracking

The app stores what it needs in your browser to keep you signed in and working. These marketing pages use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and buttons people use, so we can make the site better. It sets first-party cookies and records things like the page, the referring site, rough location, and device type. We don’t use advertising cookies, we don’t send your documents or file names to Google, and visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland aren’t given analytics cookies by default. The app (/app/) uses the same Google Analytics to count a few events, such as sign-ups, imports started and finished, downloads and print-outs. It never sends your documents, their contents or file names. You can block it with any browser tracker blocker or Google’s opt-out add-on.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site or app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
