Everything on this page works in the browser app today. What still isn’t built is listed at the bottom, plainly.

  • Import .pub files

    Pick a Microsoft Publisher file and it converts to a .bboss you own. Text arrives in editable frames with its fonts, sizes, and colors. Pictures come across as pictures. The app reports what it skipped.

  • Linked text frames

    Chain one frame to the next and text flows through them, across pages if you want. Resize a frame and the text redistributes. A red marker shows when there’s more text than room.

  • Mail merge

    Load a CSV, insert fields anywhere in your text or a table cell, and step through the records on screen. Merge and print runs one copy per record. It warns you about fields with no matching column before you print.

  • Master pages

    Letterhead, footer rules, and page numbers live on a master and repeat on every page that uses it. Page numbers are a field, so reordering pages renumbers them for you.

  • Text frames that wrap

    Type and the text wraps and reflows. Multiple paragraphs, alignment including justify, line spacing, space before and after, and vertical alignment inside the frame.

  • Fonts and character styles

    Twenty-six fonts. Bold, italic, underline, size, color, and letter spacing applied to a selection, not just a whole box. Web fonts embed into the PDF so the printer sees what you saw.

  • Tables

    Add and remove rows and columns, shade a header row, set the grid color and weight, and type straight into any cell. Resize the table and the grid scales with it.

  • Shapes and pictures

    Rectangles, ovals, and rules. Stroke color and weight, corner radius, rotation, opacity, and gradient fills. Place pictures and choose how they fit the frame.

  • Arrange anything

    Shift-click or drag a box to select several. Align to the margins or to each other, distribute evenly, group and ungroup, and move anything forward or back in the stack.

  • Rulers, guides, and snapping

    Rulers in inches, millimetres, or points. Drag a guide off a ruler and drag it off the page to remove it. Items snap to margins, folds, guides, and each other, with hairlines showing what caught.

  • Zoom and pan

    Fit to window, preset zoom levels, or Ctrl and the scroll wheel. Hold space and drag to move around the page. Handles stay the same size on screen at any zoom.

  • Twelve templates

    Tri-fold and bi-fold brochures, flyer, poster, newsletter, letterhead, business card, price list, menu, postcard, mailing labels, and blank. Several come set up with bleed, merge fields, or linked columns already in place.

  • Real paper sizes

    Letter, Legal, Tabloid, A4 in both orientations, half letter, postcard, and business card, or type your own dimensions. Add pages as the job grows.

  • Print-quality PDF

    Fonts embed. Turn on bleed for art that runs off the edge, and crop marks with a slug line naming the document and its trim size for the print shop.

  • Your library

    Create a free account and save projects to the cloud. Sign in anywhere and pick up where you left off.

  • .bboss files

    Download any project as a .bboss file and open it again later. Plain readable JSON, your copy, on your own computer.

  • Install from your browser

    Add BrochureBoss to your desktop or home screen so it opens like an app, no download site required.

Not built, said plainly:

  • The .pub import is an approximation, not a clone. Text, pictures, colors, and positions convert well. WordArt, some spacing, and vector clip art don’t, and the app lists what it skipped after every import.
  • Printing goes through your browser’s print dialog, where you choose Save as PDF. That’s how the fonts get embedded properly, and it means there’s no direct download button.
  • System fonts like Arial and Times New Roman can’t embed in a PDF. The app warns you when a document uses one. Switch print-critical text to a web font.
  • Colors are RGB. If your print shop insists on CMYK separations, they’ll convert it on their end.
  • Tables don’t flow across linked frames and can’t merge cells yet.
  • The downloadable desktop app is planned for early 2027.
